The Lewis Foundation: Meet the proud venue hosting vital charity’s 10th anniversary gala ball

Meet the proud venue hosting The Lewis Foundation’s 10th anniversary gala ball, which has continued its support for the vital charity for more than half-a-decade.

April marked 10 years of Lorraine and Lee Lewis’ dedication to bringing comfort, dignity and human connection to adult cancer patients across the region through free gift packs and support visits.

Founded in 2016, The Lewis Foundation now hand-delivers more than 2,000 free gift packs every month to patients receiving treatment at 17 hospitals across the Midlands, including Northampton General Hospital.

Lorraine and Lee look forward to hosting their fourth annual gala and this year’s theme is masquerade, made even more special by the fact the charity is celebrating its decade anniversary.

The aim of the event at the stunning Fawsley Hall Hotel & Spa on November 14 is to raise much-needed funds towards their vision of no one going through cancer alone.

Those in attendance are in for a glamorous evening starting with a cocktail and sparkling wine drinks reception accompanied by canapes.

There will be a delicious three-course meal paired with fine wine, games, a live auction and raffle, heartfelt stories from The Lewis Foundation team and the patients they support, and co-founder Lee will end the night with an uplifting DJ set.

There are many more surprises in store to mark 10 years of The Lewis Foundation, and you can secure your spot at the gala ball for £150 per person. There is also the option to purchase a table of 10, and all funds raised will go directly to the work of the charity.

‘It’s been wonderful to see the charity grow and play a small part in its journey’

Fawsley Hall Hotel & Spa is a historic country house hotel set in the Northamptonshire countryside, offering luxury accommodation, award-winning dining, spa facilities and a stunning setting for weddings and special occasions.

Hotel manager Danny Moran believes that above all it is the people who make Fawsley Hall special. “We’re incredibly proud of the experiences our team create and the warm, genuine hospitality we offer every guest,” he told the Chronicle & Echo.

Fawsley Hall has supported The Lewis Foundation for more than five years, as they believe it is important to give back to the community as a business rooted in Northamptonshire.

Danny praised the work of Lorraine, Lee and their team as “remarkable” and he said that being able to support a charity that makes such a difference is something the Fawsley Hall is incredibly proud of.

The historic country house hotel is one of The Lewis Foundation’s longest-standing venue partners, and they have supported the charity for more than half of its existence.

This has included hosting every year of the annual fundraising gala, alongside other events and celebrations – including The Lewis Foundation’s gathering for its decade anniversary earlier this year.

“It’s been wonderful to see the charity grow and play a small part in its journey,” said Danny. “For us, it’s about building meaningful relationships, supporting our local community and being part of something that makes a genuine difference to people’s lives.

“What Lorraine and Lee have created is truly inspiring. It’s such a simple idea but one that makes a real difference. Their dedication, alongside their wonderful team of volunteers, is extraordinary and Northamptonshire should be very proud of what they’ve achieved.”

Danny encourages everyone to get behind The Lewis Foundation and help celebrate a decade of making a difference. He is hopeful that Fawsley Hall’s partnership with the charity will continue for many years to come.

“The gala ball is a wonderful opportunity to recognise everything Lorraine, Lee and their team have achieved, whilst raising vital funds to support even more people,” Danny concluded. “Every contribution, however big or small, genuinely matters.”

As the proud media partner of this year’s 10-year anniversary gala ball, the Chronicle & Echo looks forward to continuing to count down to the event with weekly stories and spotlighting the businesses who are helping to make the work of this vital charity possible.
