Healthcare inspectors praise Northampton dentist practice
“Inspectors said staff treated patients with dignity and respect”
A dentist practice in Northampton has been praised by healthcare inspectors.
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) visited Harborough Road Dental Care at the end of October and found it had met all regulations in safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led categories.
Inspectors said staff treated patients with dignity and respect and ensured access to care, support and treatment. They also found good leadership, staff and effective systems in place to identify and manage risks.

The practice has three treatment rooms, two dentists and three dental nurses.
The CQC’s inspection report read: “Patients expressed confidence in their care and satisfaction with treatment. They described a friendly, welcoming environment, clear explanations of treatment options and sufficient time to ask questions. Feedback highlighted support during difficult circumstances, reassurance for anxious patients and longstanding trust in the practice.”
Patients also said they could book appointments within an acceptable timeframe and said felt appointments were not rushed.
