Six more coronavirus-related deaths at Northampton General Hospital has taken the total number of Covid-19 fatalities in the county to 28.
Today's announcement (Friday April 3) by NHS England takes the total at the hospital to 17 as at 5pm last night.

Hide AdNo further details have been released by the hospital on any of 15 people who have been added to the list of deaths since Monday.
Kettering General Hospital also today confirmed another two deaths —11 of the dead were being treated there.
Public Health England announced today that 3,605 people dead have tested positive for Covid-19 across the UK. The rise of 684 on the previous figures is the highest in a 24-hour period since the outbreak hit the UK in February.
Updates are expected later regarding the number of known cases in Northamptonshire, which stood at 220 as at 9am on Thursday (April 2).

Hide AdA peak in the epidemic is predicted in the next two or three weeks and NHS planners have rushed to free up nearly 400 hospital beds in Northampton and Kettering ahead of an expected surge in Covid-19 patients.
But the hospital also has 157 key staff back at work after success of a drive-thru testing station which opened at the start of this week.
