Moulton College students self-isolating after four test positive for coronavirus

Four students at Moulton College have tested positive for coronavirus and are self-isolating along with those who have been close contact with them.

The pupils were found to have Covid-19 in the past 10 days - those who have been near them will be at home for two weeks in accordance with official advice.

A spokesperson for the West Street college, which has 2,000 students, said the figures were relatively low compared to the national picture.

Principal and chief executive, Corrie Harris, said: “Our duty of care to our students and staff continues to be our highest priority and we are following government guidance to help contain the spread of the virus, whilst ensuring that students are able to continue with their studies.”
