Popular holiday park in Northampton announces exciting major improvement plan for 2026
A popular holiday park in Northampton has announced major plans for a new indoor entertainment venue.
Billing Aquadrome has announced major plans for a new indoor entertainment venue to be completed next year.
In social media post, a spokesman for the site said: “We are the holiday park that always listens to our guests. We scrutinise every single piece of feedback that we get as it’s the only way we can continue to improve by listening and, more importantly, acting on what our much valued guests and owners want.”
The move comes after the park’s popular amphitheatre was sometimes affected by poor weather. The spokesman added: “The amphitheatre, whilst a unique and extremely popular outdoor venue, sometimes the good old British weather has not worked with us and we recognise the need for an indoor entertainment venue.

“We built the Lake Club, a chilled kind of cocktail giving, music listening chill out vibe giving venue with the best views you can lose hours in staring into, and you have loved that…but we think you’ll love this too.
“We are delighted to announce an interior glow up of the venue which will allow us to take our fabulous entertainment and activities indoors, when Mother Nature is having an off day. That way, we give you the best of both worlds, a Tribe-led fabulous activity or entertainment offering, no matter the weather.”
The spokesman said guest feedback had directly influenced the decision: “We truly value all of your comments and actively read every single one, and it is down to you, our much valued guests and owners, that has triggered this discussion and pushed this investment.
“Thank you, we cannot wait to show you plans in the near future and share the works involved to bring you an indoor entertainment venue at Billing Aquadrome for 2026.”
Meadow Bay Villages (MBV) took over Billing Aquadrome in spring 2024, after the 295-acre park went into administration. Since then, MBV has been investing heavily in a £20 million transformation of the site. Upgrades include new platinum holiday homes, glamping pods, a luxury waterside clubhouse known as the Lake Club, a BMX pump track, a new outdoor splash area, and water-based attractions such as the Willow Lakes Aquapark.
Entertainment has been a major focus, with a resident team called The Tribe delivering shows, live performances, and activities during peak times. The park has also introduced The Zen Den, a sensory room for children with autism, ADHD, and other sensory needs.
The CEO of Billing Aquadrome, Geoffrey Smith, has previously outlined his 10-year, £100 million plan to the Chronicle & Echo to transform the site into “one of the best holiday parks in the UK again”.
