New 12,500 sq ft furniture showroom to open at Northampton retail park
A furniture retailer is set to open its first Northampton showroom at Riverside Retail Park this autumn – creating seven new jobs.
Oak Furnitureland has announced plans to open a 12,500 sq ft store in the town as it continues to expand its showroom network across the UK.
The new Northampton store will create seven roles across sales and showroom management, with recruitment taking place ahead of the opening.
It will feature the retailer’s expanding ‘Whole Home’ range, with a series of fully styled room sets designed to show customers different looks across living, dining, bedroom and home office spaces.
An exact opening date has not yet been announced.
Alex Fisher, chief executive of Oak Furnitureland, said: “We are really excited to be opening another new showroom this year, after our successful launch in Ipswich in August.
“It’s an important step as we continue to invest in our showroom network across the UK.
“We’re really proud of our expanding range of high-quality, stylish furniture, all of which is designed to grow with our customers’ homes, and we’re looking forward to welcoming people from across Northamptonshire to the new store soon.”
The Northampton opening follows the launch of a new Oak Furnitureland showroom in Ipswich in August. The retailer currently has 69 showrooms nationwide.
