More than £5,000 raised for worthy cause by well-renowned Northants Life Awards celebrating the best of the county
More than £5,000 was impressively raised for a worthy cause by this year’s well-renowned Northants Life Awards, which celebrate the best of the county’s business community.
Now in its fourth year, the ceremony is an annual celebration that recognises the businesses, individuals and venues that make the county a special place to live, work and visit.
From independent retailers and restaurants to service providers, the NL Awards once again shone a light on the people behind the county’s most loved ventures and the accolades make a huge difference to their trajectory.
The winner out of the top five shortlisted nominees in each category was decided by a 50/50 split between a public vote and an independent judging panel, and the results were revealed on July 16 at The Chester House Estate.

With more than 12,000 nominations and some incredibly tight results that determined who made it to the top five, all votes made a difference to the final results.
The ceremony is a not-for-profit event and Northants Life is proud to work alongside charity partners Cynthia Spencer and Cransley Hospices, with funds raised on the evening having been donated to Sands UK.
The Northants Life team took to social media to announce that this year’s ceremony raised more than £5,000 for the worthy cause. The post reiterated that not only are the awards designed to support the community, but a worthy cause too.
The post read: “NL had a personal reason for choosing this charity this year and, with funds just transferred, we’d like to thank YOU guys for helping us to make this happen. Many families have to go through the pain of baby loss, and the work Sands do locally does wonders to help support those having to go through it.”
