Northants outdoor cinema event scheduled to show Grease in May postponed due to pandemic

A Northants venue that was due to host an outdoor cinema event has had to postpone the event.

Courteenhall Estate, near Roade, was intending to screen Grease on Saturday May 16, this year.However, due to the coronavirus outbreak the event has had to be postponed.

The venue has moved the event to Saturday August 1, when film-lovers will be invited to bring a blanket and a camping chair and make themselves comfortable before the film starts shortly after sunset at 8pm.

A Facebook post from Courteenhall Estate said: “GREASE: We have taken the decision to postpone our Outdoor Cinema event until Saturday 1st August.

“We hope this is enough time for things to return to normal and give you all something to look forward to!”

Tickets already purchased will be valid for the new date and refunds can be issued on request if a customer cannot make the new date.

On the new date, there will be music before the film and a bar, serving hot and cold drinks as well as cocktails, will be open throughout.

Although Courteenhall is also allowing visitors to bring in their own refreshments, including alcohol.

Tickets are £16 and are available to be bought for the new date online.A message from the Editor:
