...You're Never Gonna Keep Him Down!
Ex Chumbawamba frontman brings new band to The Black Prince
This Sunday (12th April) The Black Prince in Abingdon Road Northampton will be hosting another gig by the promoters known as Club With No Name, the show will feature the band Interrobang? who's frontman is none other than Dunstan Bruce, one of the founder members of the now legendary anarcho agit-pop group Chumbawamba, who had a massive international hit single with the song 'Tubthumping'.

Yes, that irritatingly catchy little earworm that repeated the words "I get knocked down, but I up again".
A song that was also nominated for 'Brits Single Of The Year' Award in 1998, the band were invited to play the awards ceremony and indeed opened the evenings proceedings with a rousing version of the song, before one member of the band emptied the entire contents of an ice bucket over the then deputy prime minister, John Prescott, declaring it was done on behalf of the "Liverpool Dockers" (in support of their long-running strike) and as a symbolic gesture against "New Labour". The rest is history.

Chumbawamba split in 2012, but Dunstan soon formed Interrobang, still full of rebellion and still full of righteous anger about the state of the world.
But now looking for the hope, the inspiration, the desire, the way forward out of this hellscape. They bring their message to Northampton this Sunday ably assisted by The Dirt a transglobal collaboration between Japanese musician Sachiko and partner Jack (aka Leon the pig Farmer), a spoken word artist living in Manchester UK. they combine Psych shoe gaze guitars, electronic rhythms and abrasive spoken verse to full genre bending effect and the hotly tipped Club Brat, a band recently signed to Bob Vylan's label, Venn Records with their high-intensity Noise Pop, blending jagged guitars, bass-heavy dissonance, and volatile rhythms... It really does look like a night to not only provoke thought, like all good art should! but also your dancing feet.
If I can't dance to it - it's not my revolution!
