The September edition of the popular NorthantsHour What’s On Guide has been published on NorthantsHour's social media platform, bringing together events, activities and things to do happening across Northamptonshire throughout the month.

From live music and festivals to family days out, markets, arts and culture, there is plenty happening across the county and the guide aims to make it easier for local people to discover what is happening on their doorstep.

NorthantsHour is a local social media platform, run by Emily for the last 13 years, dedicated to showcasing the best of Northamptonshire. From highlighting local businesses and independent shops to sharing places to eat, attractions, walks and things to do, its aim is simple: to help answer the question “what shall I do today?”

The monthly What’s On Guide is one of the ways NorthantsHour brings local events together in one place, helping residents find something to enjoy while also giving local organisers and businesses the opportunity to reach a wider audience.

There is already plenty in the diary for the first weekend of September.

On Friday 4th September, visitors can head to Lamport Hall for the Central Exhibition Launch Party, taking place from 6pm to 9pm as part of Northants & Rutland Open Studios.

Also running from Friday 4th to Saturday 5th September is the Brigstock Beer Festival & Comedy Night at Brigstock Village Hall and Meadow.

On Saturday 5th September, there are plenty of options for a day out, including the Northampton Vintage Kilo Sale at Royal & Derngate, the Cream Tea Produce & Craft Fayre at Chantry House in Towcester, and Art Jam Fest at Delapre Abbey, featuring activities, stalls and workshops.

Families can also enjoy Summer Fest 2026 at Foxfield Pavilion, a Family Fun Day at Rushden Station or the Broughton Village Show and Fun Day.

Sunday brings even more choice, with Classics on the Lawn at Delapre Abbey and Northampton Music Festival 2026, taking over Northampton Town Centre from 12pm until 9pm.

And this is just a small selection of what's happening across the county this month. Head over to NorthantsHour on Instagram or Facebook to see the full guide.

NorthantsHour is already looking ahead to October.

If you have an event taking place in Northamptonshire in October that you'd like to be considered for inclusion in the next What’s On Guide, you can get in touch by emailing [email protected].

The guide is designed to help people discover new events and experiences across the county, so whether you're organising a community event, running a festival, hosting a market or putting on something completely different, NorthantsHour would love to hear from you.

Businesses can also get involved

The What’s On Guide also offers opportunities for local businesses to get in front of an engaged Northamptonshire audience through sponsorship.

Businesses interested in sponsoring the October What’s On Guide can get in touch with NorthantsHour to find out more about the available opportunities.

With a growing local audience and a focus on promoting the people, places, businesses and experiences that make Northamptonshire special, NorthantsHour is helping residents discover more of what their county has to offer.
