Trilogy Active unveils new state of the art gym for Northampton
Northampton’s leading gym and fitness provider, Trilogy Active, has officially opened its new state of the art gym in Northampton, bolstering its presence, and bringing further health benefits to the local community.

Trilogy Active, a health and wellbeing trust, operates Cripps Recreation Centre, and Duston Sports Centre in Northampton, Belper Leisure Centre in Derbyshire and Berzerk Active Play Centres in Atherstone, Northampton, Derby and Birmingham. Its new state of the art gym is situated in Scotia Close at the Brackmills Industrial Estate.
“We are delighted to officially open Brackmills Fitness Club and welcome the people of Northampton through our doors.” said John Fletcher, the Managing Director of Trilogy Active as he cut the red ribbon with members of the Trilogy Active team.
“This 10,000 square feet centre is home to some of the most up to date and state of the art gym equipment in the town and we’re delighted to offer a full timetable of fitness classes that are already booking to capacity.”
Trilogy Active, who work in partnership with the University of Northampton, Northampton General Hospital and Duston Parish Council have recently been awarded ‘The Active Standard’, a nationally recognised certification that allows fitness and leisure operators to demonstrate the safety and quality of their facilities.
“Trilogy Active has built an impressive presence in Northamptonshire, and the addition of this new site is a welcome statement of confidence in the region and in the people who live and work here.” said Member of Parliament for Northampton South Mike Reader who visited Brackmills Fitness Club on the eve of the opening.
“The jobs this venue creates are a boost to local employment and the wider economic activity generated will benefit businesses and residents across the area. Easy, convenient access to exercise for local workers and residents, and the health rewards this will bring, will also make a real difference to people's lives. We look forward to seeing the positive impact the facility has on our community.” he said.
Membership of this new state of the art gym will mean users have full access to a package that will include use of Duston Sports Centre and Cripps Recreation Centre. Existing Trilogy Active members will have access to Brackmills Fitness Club as part of their existing membership
Trilogy Active works closely with Northamptonshire Chamber of Commerce to highlight and address the importance of work and leisure. Recent research from ‘The Happiness Index’ shows that balancing work with health and fitness is essential to reduce chronic stress, prevent burnout, and improve overall productivity.
“A healthy balance of work and fitness boosts mental health, strengthens relationships, and lowers the risk of serious health conditions like heart disease.” John Fletcher continued. “That balance also includes the direct increasing of job satisfaction, energy levels, and alertness.”
“Coupled that our new gym will create between 15 and 20 full and part time jobs in the town, there is no doubt that the opening of our Brackmills site will generate employment, it is supporting local economic activity and will provide the community benefits that our centres across the Midlands currently deliver.”
“This is a genuinely exciting time for Trilogy Active, our dedicated staff, our valued members and the whole of Northampton.” he said.
