Rare white squirrel spotted in Greens Norton

On a dog walk across the fields close to Greens Norton on 17th May, I spotted a small white creature sitting on a log close to the hedgerow.

My first thought was it was a small rabbit but upon closer inspection discovered it was a white squirrel. I didn’t realise such a thing existed but apparently this is an incredibly rare sighting.

According to some reports there are less than x 50 in the country! Plus some believe it to be sign of good fortune and prosperity.
