The Northampton club, based on Moulton Park, has seen a significant increase in the number of home-educated children accessing its daytime activities, with several sessions reaching capacity in recent terms.

From September, NTGA will offer four dedicated Home Education sessions each week for children aged 5+:

Trampoline – Monday 13:15–14:15
Gymnastics & Movement – Tuesday 13:15–14:15
Trampoline – Wednesday 13:30–14:30
Indoor Rock Climbing – Friday 12:00–13:00

A new Gymnastics & Movement class will broaden the programme further, giving children the opportunity to experience gymnastics alongside a range of movement activities designed to develop balance, coordination, strength, flexibility, agility and body awareness.

All sessions are structured and led by experienced instructors, with children supported to participate and progress at their own level. Complete beginners are very welcome.

“We’re really proud to offer these opportunities to home-educated children and we’ve seen a real increase in the number of families choosing to join us over the last couple of years.

“We love hosting the Home Education sessions. They have a really welcoming feel to them and we can provide quality, consistent coaching that allows children to enjoy being active, learn new skills and see themselves progress from week to week.

“The social side is important too. Children get to know the coaches and each other, build confidence and become part of the wider NTGA community.

“We also know that every child and family is different, so alongside our regular weekly sessions we offer private and small-group options for those who might want something a little different or more tailored.”

The Home Education programme forms part of NTGA's wider commitment to making its facilities and coaching expertise accessible to children and families across Northamptonshire.

Alongside its recreational and competitive gymnastics and trampoline programmes, NTGA works extensively with schools, community organisations and children and young people with additional needs.

Ross added:

“For us, it’s about giving children opportunities to be active in an environment where they feel welcome and can enjoy themselves.

“Whether they want to bounce, climb, learn gymnastics or simply become more confident moving and being active, we want there to be something here for them.”

Home Education sessions cost £6.50 per session, booked by half-term, with discounts for siblings. New starters are welcome to join at any point during the term where spaces are available.
