Northamptonshire opticians puts fundraising in focus
‘Supporting our community is really important to us as a team and we’ve built a brilliant relationship with the Rotary Club over the years'
An opticians in Towcester is continuing an ongoing partnership with the local Rotary Club by attending an evening of fundraising for charity.
Stefano De Leo, store director at the locally owned and run Specsavers on Watling Street, joined the Rotary Club of Towcester for an evening of horse racing-inspired activities at Blakesley Village Hall. The evening saw members and guests compete in a series of indoor races, with the final race sponsored by Specsavers Towcester. The winner of the final race received a £150 voucher to use in-store. Overall, an impressive £1,300 was raised for the Rotary Club and South Northants Youth Engagement, a charity which promotes and coordinates activities and services for young people and runs youth clubs in Towcester and surrounding villages.
‘It was brilliant to attend the fundraising evening with the club,’ Stefano comments. ‘I’d like to thank the Rotary Club of Towcester for their wonderful hospitality over the course of the evening. There was plenty going on and I’m pleased so much money was raised for such an important local charity.
‘Supporting our community is really important to us as a team and we’ve built a brilliant relationship with the Rotary Club over the years. We’re looking forward to getting involved with future events to help raise as much money as possible.’
