iForce, part of the Culina Group, was presented with a Green World Ambassador Award alongside recycling partner Allwood’s Recycling for work carried out at iForce House in Corby.

The site provides warehousing and multi-channel fulfilment services for UK and international customers and has introduced a range of environmental initiatives aimed at reducing waste and carbon emissions.

According to the company, the site now recycles around 2,200 tonnes of material every year, including cardboard, plastics, wood and metals. More than 24,000 pallets have also been recovered and reused as part of the scheme.

The partnership has also supported community organisations including the The Salvation Army, Surplus2Purpose and Community Wood Recycling by donating surplus materials for reuse.

David Dugdale, head of operations at iForce House, said the award recognised the “practical steps” being taken by staff to reduce the site’s environmental impact.
