With the support of recent funding, Teamwork Trust is delivering the Hidden Talents Market project, a year-long initiative designed to reduce social isolation and celebrate the talents of adults with autism and learning disabilities. Participants are working together in weekly co-production workshops to plan and deliver creative community events, developing handmade crafts, performances and inclusive activities for local residents.

A £3,000 grant from the Cecil Pettit Legacy Fund, awarded via Northamptonshire Community Foundation, is enabling the delivery of the project and supporting participants to take on roles that match their strengths, including creators, performers, workshop leaders and event champions.

Throughout the year, community events are being held in local venues including libraries, community centres and public spaces, giving participants the opportunity to showcase their skills and connect with the wider community. By encouraging shared ownership, teamwork and creativity, the project is helping individuals build confidence, strengthen social connections and feel recognised as valued contributors within their community.

Northamptonshire Community Foundation is the county’s largest independent grant maker, having given more than £24 million in grants since its inception in 2001. This year marks an exciting milestone for NCF – 25 years of inspiring local giving for local needs. Building on this, NCF is also looking 25 years ahead, with bold ambition for a fairer, thriving and more connected county for generations to come. Their latest Impact Report is ready to read here.
