With the support of recent funding, Pink House Arts delivered regular creative wellbeing sessions in community settings, including local libraries and supported living environments. Sessions included a range of hands-on craft activities such as mosaics, painting and paper crafts, alongside guest talks on topics including mindfulness, gentle exercise and improving mental health.

A £2,999.75 grant from the Randal Charitable Foundation Fund, awarded via Northamptonshire Community Foundation, enabled the delivery of these sessions and ensured they remained accessible to those who may otherwise face barriers to participation.

The project has already made a positive impact, helping participants build friendships and reduce feelings of loneliness. Attendees have reported increased confidence and improved wellbeing, with some forming connections outside of the sessions. For those experiencing bereavement or isolation, the group has provided a vital opportunity to socialise and feel supported.

Northamptonshire Community Foundation is the county’s largest independent grant maker, having given more than £24 million in grants since its inception in 2001. This year marks an exciting milestone for NCF – 25 years of inspiring local giving for local needs. Building on this, NCF is also looking 25 years ahead, with bold ambition for a fairer, thriving and more connected county for generations to come. Their latest Impact Report is ready to read here.
