The care home will host a special taster event this Friday, inviting local residents, families, carers and community members to come along for a look around and discover the services on offer.

The new initiative aims to support individuals who may struggle to access everyday comforts and necessities, including a warm bath, nutritious hot meals, hairdressing services and meaningful social interaction.

Staff at Westhill Park Care Home say the service has been created to help combat loneliness and improve wellbeing among people who may be isolated or in need of additional day-to-day support.

Visitors attending Friday’s open day will have the opportunity to tour the home, meet the care team and learn more about how the day care programme can benefit members of the community.

A spokesperson for the home said: “We want Westhill Park to be a welcoming place for everyone in our community. This new service is about offering warmth, care, companionship, and dignity to people who may otherwise go without.”

The day care service is expected to provide a safe and friendly environment where guests can relax, enjoy activities, share meals and build social connections.

Community members interested in finding out more are encouraged to attend the taster session this Friday and experience first hand the welcoming atmosphere at Westhill Park Care Home.
