Northampton pub reopens following £424,000 investment
The Sunnyside in Northampton reopened on April 1 with an exciting new look
The Sunnyside is now open, boasting an investment of over £424,000, which has transformed the well-loved community pub to feature a host of exciting upgrades.

Introducing its innovative “Two Door Pub” concept, the Sunnsyide now offers a sports bar area with Sky & TNT sports and a separate family lounge, creating two distinct spaces: a lively bar for the locals and a cosy, family-friendly lounge. Designed to cater to all occasions, the pub brings the community together, offering guests the flexibility to enjoy their ideal experience without compromise.
The community hero chosen to pull the first pint to mark the pub’s opening was local Armed Forces veteran, Dean Griffin, also known as The Travelling Veteran. Dean is an ambassador for two charities, Veterans Community Network and The Veterans Charity, which the pub will support throughout the year.

Veterans Community Network is a local charity serving Northamptonshire and surrounding counties, helping veterans and their families access services to improve their wellbeing and transition to civilian life. The Veterans Charity operates nationally, helping former members of the British Armed Forces who are experiencing hardship or crisis.
The newly updated bar area features large HD screens to keep guests entertained with all the latest sports action. The space also includes a dedicated darts area and pool table, so guests can challenge friends, enjoy some friendly competition, and soak up the lively atmosphere.
The Sunnyside is a dog-friendly locals' pub with a community feel. Locals can now drop by for a pint and a bite to eat, celebrating unmissable moments in the heart of the community. The pub continues to serve its popular pub favourites, such as The Ultimate Southern Fried Chicken Burger.
Now open, the pub will host a variety of events. Guests can keep an eye out for upcoming events via the pub’s website.
