Northampton groups unite for 'Community Fest' celebrating the Mounts
Residents of the Mounts are invited to come together for a vibrant afternoon of creativity, conversation, live music and local pride at Community Fest on Sunday 28th June 2026, from 12pm to 4pm across multiple locations in the Mounts, Northampton.

Organised by Good Neighbour, Colwyn Road & Neighbours Residents Association, and The Happy `Hood in partnership with local businesses including The Lab, Burns Street Studios and Old Grocery Espresso Bar, the free event celebrates the people, creativity and community spirit that make the Mounts unique.
Funded by West Northamptonshire Council, Community Fest aims to encourage residents to explore their neighbourhood, meet local organisations and creatives, and discover the inspiring projects already happening on their doorstep.
“People often think nothing happens in the Mounts, but there’s so much creativity, talent and community action taking place here,” said organiser Tamsyn Payne. “Community Fest is about bringing people together, celebrating local people and helping neighbours connect in meaningful ways.”
Activities will take place across several community venues and include:
Live music from Northampton band In Atoms and other local performers
Community art projects and mural painting
Family games and creative workshops
Planter planting and nature-inspired activities
Food from Butts Savouries, coffee, cake and homemade treats
Community discussions focused on improving the neighbourhood
Featured locations include Burns Street Studios, Old Grocery Espresso Bar, The Lab, and the Garden in the Park community garden on the Racecourse.
Community Fest is free to attend and open to residents of the Mounts. Organisers encourage people of all ages to come along, get involved and celebrate the neighbourhood together.
