Northampton couple give back to neonatal unit that cared for premature son
"When Onyx arrived early, our whole world changed overnight. The team at Gosset Ward were incredible”
A Northampton couple whose baby son spent more than two weeks in neonatal care are helping to raise money for the hospital ward that supported their family during one of the most challenging periods of their lives.

Andrzej Mialkowski, owner of Step By Step Dance School, and his fiancée Amie will be supporting the Gosset Ward Family Fun Day at Grange Park Community Centre on June 28.
The event, which runs from 2pm to 6pm, aims to raise funds for Gosset Ward Neonatal Unit, whose staff cared for the couple's son, Onyx, after he was born prematurely.
Andrzej said the experience left a lasting impression on the family.
"When Onyx arrived early, our whole world changed overnight. The team at Gosset Ward were incredible," he said.
"They cared for our son with such professionalism, kindness and dedication, but they also looked after us as parents when we needed support the most. We will never forget what they did for our family."

Amie added: "Nothing prepares you for having a baby in neonatal care. The staff became our lifeline during those difficult days. Thanks to their care, encouragement and expertise, we were able to bring our little boy home stronger every day. We will always be grateful."
As part of the fundraiser, Andrzej will lead a free dance lesson and performance at 3.30pm, encouraging families to get involved and enjoy an afternoon of entertainment while supporting a good cause.
"Dance is about bringing people together and creating smiles," he said. "If we can help raise money and awareness for Gosset Ward while giving families a fun afternoon, then it's a privilege to be involved."
The family fun day will feature a bouncy castle, princess characters, baby massage sessions, glitter tattoos, arts and crafts, food vendors, raffles, games and live entertainment.
The couple hope local families will attend and help raise funds for a ward they say continues to make a life-changing difference to babies and parents across Northamptonshire.
Andrzej said: "Without Gosset Ward, our journey with Onyx could have been very different. This event is our chance to say thank you and give something back to the people who gave our son the very best start in life."
Everyone is welcome to attend the event at Grange Park Community Centre on Sunday, June 28.
