Little Learners Childcare spread Easter cheer at children’s ward

A Northampton childcare provider has helped bring smiles to young patients this Easter by donating more than 50 chocolate eggs to a local hospital ward.

Staff and families from Little Learners Childcare based in Cliftonville came together to support children receiving care at the Paddington Ward at Northampton General Hospital, delivering a colourful collection of Easter treats ahead of the holiday weekend.

The initiative saw generous contributions from parents, carers and the wider community, all keen to ensure that children spending Easter in hospital could still enjoy a small moment of joy.

Team members from Little Learners—who described themselves as “Easter bunnies” for the day—personally delivered the donations, adding a human touch to the gesture and brightening the atmosphere on the ward.

Holly White operations manager said: “We wanted to do something meaningful for children who might not be able to celebrate Easter in the usual way. The response from our families was overwhelming , and we’re so grateful to everyone who donated.”

Paddington Ward, which cares for children and young people in Northampton, welcomed the gifts, with staff praising the kindness shown by the local childcare community.

Typical acts of generosity like this highlight the strength of community spirit from Little Learners Childcare Northampton, particularly during seasonal moments when small gestures can make a big difference.

As Easter approaches, the children receiving care on the ward will now have an extra treat to enjoy—thanks to the thoughtful efforts of Little Learners and its supporters.
