Homelium Care launches first Knit and Natter event in Northampton for Mental Health Awareness Week

Homelium Care is inviting the Northampton community to come together for connection, conversation and creativity at its very first Knit and Natter event, taking place on Thursday 14 May from 10:00am to 12:00pm at the PHAB Centre, Northampton, in support of Mental Health Awareness Week.

The event has been intentionally scheduled to coincide with Wear It Green Day, the national day of action encouraging people to show their support for mental health awareness.

Homelium Care’s Knit and Natter aims to create a relaxed and welcoming space where people can connect with others, enjoy mindful conversation and experience the positive impact that crafting and community can have on wellbeing.

Attendees are encouraged to simply turn up on the day, bring their knitting or crochet projects and join in. There is no need to book, and everyone is welcome.

Guests can enjoy free hot drinks and snacks while taking part in the sessiontal Health Awareness Week is an important opportunity to highlight the value of connection and community. Our first Knit and Natter event is about creating a friendly, inclusive space where people can come together, share conversation and enjoy the wellbeing benefits that creative activities can bring. As we’re hosting the event on Wear It Green Day, we’d also love for people to feel free to wear something green to show their support for mental health awareness.”

The event is open to knitters of all abilities, from complete beginners to experienced crafters and offers a chance to meet new people in a warm and supportive environment.
