HAF Northants summer programme now underway – but there’s still time to book!

Families across Northamptonshire can still book free places at Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) clubs running throughout the summer holidays.

Delivered by Northamptonshire Sport in partnership with North Northamptonshire Council and West Northamptonshire Council, the award-winning HAF Northants programme provides free holiday clubs for children and young people who are eligible for targeted benefits-related free school meals.

Funded by the Department for Education, the programme helps children and young people stay active, try something new, make friends and enjoy a healthy meal during the school holidays. It also gives families extra support during the summer break, helping children access fun, enriching activities in safe and welcoming environments.

With clubs taking place throughout the summer holidays, there is still plenty of time for eligible families to get involved. Activities are running across Northamptonshire, offering everything from sport and outdoor adventures to creative sessions, cooking and games.

Gary Sheppard, Strategic Director – Active Schools at Northamptonshire Sport, said: “With the summer holidays now underway, there are still plenty of opportunities for eligible families to get involved in HAF Northants.

“The programme gives children and young people the chance to stay active, try new experiences, build confidence and enjoy healthy meals in safe, welcoming environments. At the same time, it provides valuable support for families throughout the school holidays.

“We’d encourage families who haven’t yet booked to take a look at what’s available. Clubs are running right across Northamptonshire, with a fantastic range of activities on offer.”
