Growing Together invites community to open day at Blackthorn Community Centre
Residents, families, community groups and local organisations are invited to attend a free Community Centre and Nursery Open Day hosted by Growing Together Northampton on Friday 10th July.
People are welcome to drop in from 9.30am to 12.30pm at Blackthorn Community Centre, Longmead Court, Northampton, the event will offer visitors the opportunity to get to know local services, meet community organisations, and discover how Growing Together supports residents across the Eastern District.
Visitors can also take a short walk across the green to Blackthorn Good Neighbours (BGN) Nursery, Blackthorn Local Centre, Northampton, to explore our learning spaces, meet our friendly staff, and find out about the exciting opportunities available to our children, including Forest School, Nurture Groups, outdoor learning, and a wide range of fun and engaging activities.
The free event is open to everyone, whether they are interested in our local groups, or exploring opportunities to collaborate with community organisations.
Visitors can enjoy a range of activities including:
Children's craft activities
Free goodie bags for the first 50 visitors
Tours of Blackthorn Good Neighbours Nursery
Information and advice from local organisations
Opportunities to meet neighbours and community groups
