GLK United and the Tempeo Foundation have announced a groundbreaking partnership that will provide grassroots footballers and school children with the opportunity to showcase their talents before selected Northampton Town FC home matches.

The initiative, Cobblers Corner, which will take place on matchdays at Sixfields Stadium, aims to create memorable football experiences for young people across Northamptonshire, while promoting participation, inclusion, and community engagement through sport.

The partnership marks the next chapter in a relationship that first began when Tempeo Foundation became sponsors of GLK United's Under-11s side. What started as support for a grassroots team has now developed into a wider collaboration designed to benefit hundreds of young players and schoolchildren.

As part of the programme, GLK United will host a series of football festivals and competitions before Northampton Town fixtures. The opening events will feature round-robin tournaments involving GLK United teams and grassroots clubs from across the region, providing young players with the opportunity to compete and develop in a unique matchday setting.

The project will then expand through GLK Academies, which will invite local primary schools to participate in a Schools Cup competition. The tournament will culminate in a memorable final, with successful teams earning the chance to play on the pitch at Northampton Town FC in front of supporters.

Adding to the excitement, every participant involved in the events will receive a match ticket, allowing them to stay and watch the Cobblers in action following their own football experience.

The Tempeo Foundation's commitment to supporting young people has been instrumental in bringing the initiative to life, with both organisations united by a desire to ensure football remains accessible to children from all backgrounds.

Jordan Kelly for GLK United said the partnership reflects the club's ongoing commitment to player development and community engagement.

"None of this would be possible without the support of the Tempeo Foundation. Their dedication to creating opportunities for young people aligns perfectly with our values at GLK United. Together, we are creating experiences that go beyond football, helping children build confidence, develop friendships and make lasting memories."

The collaboration is expected to bring together grassroots clubs, schools, and families from across the county, creating a vibrant pre-match atmosphere at Northampton Town while offering participants a taste of the professional game.

With the first events scheduled to take place during the upcoming season, anticipation is already building among players, coaches, and schools eager to become part of the programme.

For GLK United and the Tempeo Foundation, the partnership represents more than just football. It is an investment in the next generation, providing opportunities, inspiration and experiences that many young people may never otherwise have the chance to enjoy.

As the two organisations prepare to kick off their first events at Cobblers Corner, their shared ambition is clear: to use the power of football to bring communities together and create opportunities that extend far beyond the touchline.
