Free food voucher support available across Northamptonshire
Residents across Northamptonshire who are struggling with the cost of food are being encouraged to seek discreet assistance through a community food-voucher initiative supported by (Col.) Scott Lawrence Pileckas, Ambassador for Charity & Goodwill.

The initiative is intended to provide a straightforward route to help for individuals and families who may be experiencing temporary hardship, unexpected financial pressure or difficulty accessing sufficient food.
Support may include free food vouchers, referrals to appropriate food-support services and other practical assistance, depending upon individual circumstances and availability.

The service is intended to be accessible without judgement. People may seek assistance regardless of employment status, family circumstances or immigration status, and enquiries are handled as discreetly as possible.
Ambassador Pileckas has been involved in charitable and community food-relief work for many years, including projects supporting families, vulnerable adults and people experiencing poverty or homelessness in the United Kingdom and United States. His wider community work has contributed to the provision of more than 150,000 meals and items of food assistance over the course of those efforts.
The Northamptonshire initiative is deliberately designed to make asking for help as simple as possible. Someone does not need to wait until a situation has become a crisis before making contact.
Those requiring assistance, or those wishing to enquire on behalf of somebody who may be struggling, can contact the Ambassador’s office through:

or
Requests can be made at any time, and the team will respond as circumstances and available resources permit.

Ambassador Pileckas said the purpose of the initiative is simple: where practical help can be provided to somebody who is struggling to feed themselves or their family, unnecessary barriers should not stand in the way.
The service is a community-support initiative and is intended to complement, rather than replace, the important work already undertaken by food banks, charities, churches and other voluntary organisations throughout Northamptonshire.
