Executive principal runs London Marathon for Make-A-Wish UK
Students, staff and families from the David Ross Education Trust are hugely proud of Megan Morris, Executive Principal, for running the iconic London Marathon over the weekend.

Mrs Morris is Executive Principal for both Malcolm Arnold Academy in Northampton and Thomas Middlecott Academy in Kirton.
Mrs Morris ran the marathon for the charity Make-A-Wish UK, which is the charity student charity ambassadors at Malcolm Arnold Academy chose. The students were moved by the charity's mission to bring joy and unforgettable experiences to children living with critical illness.

Megan Morris, Executive Principal of Malcolm Arnold Academy and Thomas Middlecott Academy, said: “I am so proud to have run the London Marathon in aid of Make-A-Wish UK! Our wonderful students chose this charity to support those 134,000 children in the UK who are eligible for a wish because they are living with a critical illness.
“Thank you very much to the DRET community for your support and donations.”
Mrs Morris’ fundraising page is available online.
Mrs Morris ran the marathon with her nails perfectly manicured in the Make‐A‐Wish blue and pink, matching the charity’s logo.

40 pupils from DRET schools including Bobby Moore Academy, Cedar Road Primary School, Quay Academy, Bringhurst Primary School, Welton CE Academy and Ingoldsby Academy also ran in the mini-marathon on Saturday.
Shane Ward, Head of Sports Enrichment at DRET, said: “Sport is an integral part of the education we offer our pupils across the David Ross Education Trust to encourage lifelong active lifestyles and support our young people to develop resilience and courage outside the classroom.
“It is great to see one of our Trust leaders demonstrating these values and inspiring our pupils to get active and take on a challenge. Well done Megan!”
