Noah, a pupil at the Northampton school, was selected from nominations submitted by schools across the UK after impressing judges with his remarkable ability to recognise when others need support and his determination to ensure that no one feels left out.

Judges praised Noah for consistently demonstrating kindness in his daily interactions with classmates and younger pupils. Whether welcoming a child who is sitting alone, encouraging someone who is feeling worried, or offering reassurance to those who need it, Noah has developed a reputation for putting others first.

One judge commented: "What stood out most was that Noah's kindness isn't just something he does occasionally, it seems to be part of who he is."

As one of the school's Kindness Ambassadors, Noah has helped foster a caring and inclusive culture across East Hunsbury Primary School.

His contributions extend beyond the school gates. Noah has participated in community litter-picking projects, helped plant bulbs in local public spaces, performed at community events and proudly represented the school at a local Remembrance service.

Speaking about what the award means to him, Noah said: "Kindness is everything. Someone might be going through a really hard time, and those small bits of kindness can mean the world to that person."

Jaime Thurston, Founder of the School of Kindness, said: "Noah is such an incredible boy, and that is really clear from the moment you meet him. What struck the judges about Noah was not just what he does, but what he notices. Noah's fellow pupils said he seems to have a radar for when somebody needs support and then takes the time to help them feel seen and included. The world needs more people like Noah, and we are thrilled to recognise him with this award."

The achievement adds to an impressive record of recognition for East Hunsbury Primary School at the National Kindness Awards. The school was previously named Kind School Winner for 2025–26, reflecting its whole-school commitment to promoting kindness, inclusion and positive community values.

This year's awards also saw further success for the East Hunsbury community, with Indy Jutla shortlisted as a finalist in the Kind Adult Award 2026–27 category and The Beaders recognised as finalists in the Kind Group Award 2026–27 category.

Health and Wellbeing Lead (Kelly Roberts) said the school was immensely proud of Noah and the wider school community.

"Noah embodies the values we promote every day at East Hunsbury Primary School. His kindness, empathy and willingness to help others make him a wonderful role model for younger children. We are delighted that his efforts have been recognised nationally. To have a national award winner, alongside finalists in both the Kind Adult and Kind Group categories, is a fantastic achievement and reflects the caring culture that exists throughout our school community."

The National Kindness Awards celebrate children, educators and schools that are making kindness an everyday part of life. Judges described Noah as a shining example of how one young person can make a lasting difference to the lives of those around them.

For East Hunsbury Primary School, Noah's success is not only a personal achievement but also a testament to a community where kindness continues to thrive.
