Rob Wallace joins David Lloyd Kettering with more than a decade of experience within David Lloyd Clubs, having first joined the business at David Lloyd Leicester in 2012. Throughout his career, Rob has worked across several Clubs including Narborough, both Solihull Clubs, Milton Keynes, Leicester and Coventry, as well as holding a regional sales role.

As General Manager, Rob will oversee preparations ahead of the Club opening in December 2026, including recruitment, team development and supporting the creation of a thriving member community in Kettering.

Speaking about the upcoming opening, Rob Wallace said: “It’s incredibly exciting to be able to announce that David Lloyd Kettering will officially open in December 2026.

“There’s already a real buzz surrounding the new Club and I’m looking forward to welcoming our first members through the doors early next year.

“I’m proud to have been part of the David Lloyd Clubs journey since joining Leicester in 2012 and I’ve been fortunate to work across a number of fantastic Clubs and teams during that time. Those experiences have shaped my passion for delivering great member experiences and creating welcoming environments where members can spend quality “me-time”, couple-time and family-time, all under one roof.

“Outside of work, fitness plays an important role in my life. I’ve recently completed a 100 mile ultra marathon and due to complete my first full Ironman in August this year. If you have a MYZONE fitness tracker, I’m always up for some friendly workouts with members!”

The new Club will feature an unrivalled range of health and wellness facilities, with the centrepiece being a state-of-the-art 100+ station gym with cutting-edge equipment and fitness technology. Group exercise studios will host more than 100 classes each week including David Lloyd Clubs’ exclusive Signature Class Collection such as SPIRIT Pilates and yoga, CYCLONE group spin classes, and intense HIIT workout class BLAZE.

The luxurious Spa Retreat will offer a variety of premium spa facilities including Himalayan salt sauna, crystal steam room, cold plunge pool, swim in-out hydro pool, heated beds, and a tranquil Spa Garden for relaxation and post-workout recovery.

Families sit at the heart of all David Lloyd Clubs and the new site in Hanwood Park will be ideally placed to offer a range of activities for families and individuals alike. The Club will offer swimming and tennis coaching for children of all ages, as well as after-school and holiday clubs through DL Kids, and indoor soft play area in the family zone. Children aged eight and over can also enjoy the David Lloyd Clubs ‘Rebels’ group classes, where the whole family can exercise together.

Meanwhile, the Business Lounge will offer members an alternative to working from home with a mixture of comfortable and high-level seating plus enclosed work booths.
