Daventry children learn lifesaving skills at Amazon
The children of Amazon employees in Daventry are one step closer to becoming lifesavers after taking part in a special first aid and CPR training session at the Amazon fulfilment centre in the city.

Mini Medics is a basic first aid course designed for children between the ages of seven and 16. The course introduces children to health knowledge, lifesaving skills and administering first aid.
The course safety facilitator welcomed Amazon employees and their children for a fun and interactive session that introduced them to essential first aid, learning how to check for danger and practising CPR techniques.

Lewis Warburton, Site Leader at Amazon in Daventry, said: “We’re always looking for ways to bring our team and their families together in meaningful ways, and this Mini Medics session was a fantastic opportunity to do just that. Seeing the children so engaged and enthusiastic about learning these vital skills was really special. You never know when first aid knowledge might make a difference, and it’s incredibly rewarding to know that these young people are leaving with the confidence to help in an emergency.”
Elena Bucur who led the training course, added: “It was a brilliant session with such an enthusiastic group of young learners. Children are incredibly capable of picking up these skills, and it’s amazing to see how quickly they take to CPR and first aid techniques. We’re passionate about getting these skills into as many hands as possible, and events like this one at Amazon in Daventry are a wonderful way to do that. These children could genuinely save a life one day.”
