Cyclists invited to take part in Riding for Ups 'n' Downs 2026
Cyclists from across Northamptonshire and beyond are invited to sign up for Riding for Ups ‘n’ Downs 2026, a charity sportive raising funds to support local families who have a child with Down syndrome.

Taking place on Sunday, 19th July 2026, the event will start and finish at Kettering Town Football Club and welcomes riders of all abilities.
Riders can choose from three routes of 25, 60 or 100 miles, making the event accessible to both recreational cyclists and experienced riders. Now in its eleventh year, what began as a small charity bike ride has grown into a popular community event.

Farah Cutter, Marketing Executive for Ups ‘n’ Downs, said: “This year's event is even more special as it forms part of Ups n Downs' 20th anniversary celebrations. For the past two decades, the charity has been supporting families across Northamptonshire who have a child with Down syndrome, providing opportunities, activities and a community of support. Every rider who takes part helps us continue that work and ensures more families can access the support they need in the years ahead.
We are delighted to be hosting the event at Kettering Town Football Club for the first time this year and are incredibly grateful for their support. We also have a fantastic team of volunteers and supporters working hard to make sure everyone has a great day. With three routes to choose from, 25, 60 or 100 miles, there is something for riders of all abilities. Once back at the club, riders, families and supporters can relax and enjoy food, music and entertainment together. We're excited to bring the cycling community together on 19th July and hope to welcome riders taking part for the first time alongside those who have supported us over the years."
Cycling clubs, community groups and local organisations are invited to get involved and be part of the day.
The charity is also keen to hear from local businesses that would like to support the event through sponsorship.
