Celebrating 100th birthday at Northamptonshire care home
On Saturday 1st August at Claremont Parkway Care Home, Kettering was a particularly special day for one of their residents, who was celebrating her 100th Birthday!

Vera who has been with the home since May 2020 and has touched the lives of so many people with her good humour and life stories.
Vera was joined by members of her family who came in to celebrate her birthday along with the friends she has made since being at the home. Family gathered in the garden lounge for refreshments and to wish Vera a very happy 100th birthday.

In the afternoon friends, family, residents and team members enjoyed a chorus of singing with the very talented Dean Jones, who also sang Happy Birthday to Vera, who was delighted with the entertainment.
Vera received Birthday cards from the home, family and from King Charles III which Vera was delighted with. Flowers galore and lots of gifts.
Vera's Daughter said "Thank you to all the colleagues for their help and support in making Mum's birthday so wonderful, I honestly don't think the day could have gone better!!"
A truly remarkable day for a truly remarkable lady! From everyone at Claremont we hope you and your family had a wonderful day.

Birthdays are so much more than just another day, they are an opportunity to celebrate each resident, their life, and the memories they have created, and certainly turning 100 is truly a wonderful excuse to celebrate with a big party!
