Blisworth FC's popular youth football tournaments are back!
Blisworth FC’s popular tournaments return in June after a 6 year absence.

2019 was the last time Blisworth hosted a tournament with COVID and then the clubs rebuild of the clubhouse causing an enforced absence.
The tournaments return with a bang in June with age groups from U8’s to U15’s catered for over two weekends at the beginning and end of June.

Football Club Chairman, Richard Hedges told us how much planning and hard work goes into organising the event.
“We have been extremely lucky that two of our Junior coaches, Asad and Amaar, have taken on the bulk of the work that goes into organising a tournament”
“They and the club started planning the details around 3 months ago and as lots of clubs know, there are a multitude of things to get in place. From food and drink supplies, to team invitations, car parking, programs, insurances, sponsors, pitch layouts and the format of the tournaments”
“We will provide a Champions League style format with every side that takes part guaranteed a semi final of some description. We want to avoid the type of tournament where teams hang around for 5/6 hours just playing group games with nothing at the end of it”

The Tournaments will be a fitting end to what’s been a season of transition off the pitch with Blisworth’s new clubhouse now firing on all cylinders and another successful season on the pitch with plenty of Blisworth sides reaching finals and challenging for titles.
“I’d like to take this opportunity to wish all our sides playing in finals over the coming weeks the best of luck and thank all our coaches, players, parents and volunteers for their hard work and dedication.”
“Our clubhouse has been packed on Saturday mornings with our kitchen and free food for players after the game proving hugely popular”
“The Kitchen staff provide a brilliant service and The Blissy Bites Kitchen has proved to be a valuable source of income”
The season continues on the pitch with both senior Blisworth teams in action this weekend and Blisworth First team still have their 7th successive League Cup Final to play against Harpole on May,14th.
