Beauty business reaches top five in Northamptonshire awards

“To be recognised as one of the Top 5 beauty salons in Northamptonshire is already an incredible achievement, but winning would mean the world. Every single vote genuinely makes a difference.”

Blink & Sculpt, a small independent beauty business based in Northamptonshire, has officially secured a place in the Top 5 for “Best Beauty Salon” in the Northamptonshire Life Awards.

Owner Leah Harrison-Breed says the nomination is a moment of pride after years of dedication, sacrifice, and determination to build a successful business from the ground up.

Starting her beauty career over eight years ago, Leah transformed her passion into a thriving business, welcoming hundreds of clients through her doors and building a loyal customer base through hard work, consistency, and exceptional service.

The achievement comes after what Leah describes as one of the most challenging periods in her business journey. Over the years she has faced countless obstacles, from navigating the uncertainty of the beauty industry, balancing business ownership with motherhood, working through personal challenges, and recently making the daunting decision to relocate her business to a completely new area.

“It was a huge risk,” Leah explains. “Moving my business was one of the scariest decisions I’ve ever made. You always worry whether clients will follow you, whether the hard work you’ve put in will continue to pay off, and whether you’re making the right decision.”

Fortunately, not only did her existing clients continue to support her, but dozens of new clients have discovered Blink & Sculpt since the move, helping the business go from strength to strength.

What makes the achievement even more remarkable is that Blink & Sculpt is competing against much larger, established salons across the county. As a small independent business, reaching the Top 5 is a testament to the trust and loyalty of its clients and the reputation Leah has built within the local community.

“This nomination means so much because it isn’t judged on advertising budgets or the size of your premises. It’s down to the people who support you every day. Every appointment booked, every recommendation made and every vote cast has helped get us here.”

With the final stage of voting now open, Leah is encouraging supporters, clients, friends and family to help bring the award home.

“To be recognised as one of the Top 5 beauty salons in Northamptonshire is already an incredible achievement, but winning would mean the world. Every single vote genuinely makes a difference.”

Voting is now open for the Northamptonshire Life Awards, and supporters can vote for Blink & Sculpt in the Best Beauty Salon category.

For a business built through determination, long hours, resilience and an unwavering commitment to its clients, this nomination represents more than an award — it’s recognition of years of hard work finally paying off.

Leah encourages anyone who hasn’t already voted to do so.
