Sadly, the numbers of admissions of autistic people continued to rise. Assuring Transformation Digital Data shows that the number of autistic people without a learning disability detained in mental health hospitals increased by 141 per cent between 2015 and 2025.

This will be explored by Dr Louise Kirby, autism assurance lead at Northamptonshire Healthcare Foundation Trust, in the latest 'research brought to the community' talk held by the university's Centre for Health Sciences and Services.

It will take place at The Bee Hive, Harborough Road, on Thursday, May 14, from 5pm to 6.30pm.
