Animal fun for students at Amazon in Daventry
Pupils from Daventry Hill primary school were invited to a special petting zoo event at Amazon in Daventry, where they met various animals, engaged in nature activities and got a behind-the-scenes look at the fulfilment centre.

The animal menagerie experience was provided by The Phoenix Children’s Foundation, which provides fun-filled activities for children who live with disabilities, illness, or lack of opportunities. The charity hosts 22 acres of sensory gardens, and a collection of animals onsite.
The petting zoo at Amazon in Daventry featured animals like tortoises, rabbits, and donkeys.

Lewis Warburton from Amazon said:
“We wanted to create a truly memorable experience for the pupils of Daventry Hill School, and seeing the children’s faces light up when they met the donkeys and tortoises was just magical. Events like this remind us why community partnerships matter so much - we’re proud to open our doors and give local young people a day they’ll never forget.”
Louise Worts, headteacher at Daventry Hill school said:
“Our pupils had an absolutely brilliant day at Amazon. Getting up close with the animals - from the rabbits to the donkeys - was a fantastic hands-on experience that you simply can’t recreate in the classroom. Thank you to Amazon and Phoenix Children's Charity for putting on such a special event for our school community.”

Clare Smith from Phoenix Children’s Charity added:
“Days like this are exactly what Phoenix Children’s Charity is all about - bringing joy, connection, and learning to children in a way that truly captures their imagination. We’re glad to have a partner in Amazon Daventry. Well done to all involved.”
