Japfest roars back to Silverstone for family-friendly 10th anniversary

Silverstone will reverberate with the sound of engines on Sunday 19 April as Japfest, Europe’s biggest Japanese car show, marks its 10th anniversary.

The one-day festival, which runs from 10am–5pm, draws more than 25,000 visitors annually, transforming the F1 circuit into a vibrant celebration of cars, colour and live entertainment.

Organisers promise non-stop track action, including high-octane drifting displays where the UK’s top drivers measure skill and speed. Headliner Steve ‘Baggsy’ Biagioni is expected to thrill the grandstands with tyre-shredding runs, while family drivers can experience the buzz of a ‘Drift Taxi’ ride around the famous layout.

Off-track attractions include thousands of cars on display — from custom builds to rare classics — club stands, a large retail village and catering zones. Event organiser Phil Weeden says Japfest’s appeal lies in its atmosphere as much as its machinery, offering something for seasoned petrolheads and first-time visitors alike.
