X-Factor runners-up and Britain's Got Talent finalists to headline ChoirFest in Northampton on Valentine's Day
A group who were runners-up on X-Factor and another who got to the final of Britain’s Got Talent (BGT) will headline a ChoirFest event in Northampton on Valentine’s Day.
G4, from the first series of X-Factor in 2004, and Northants Sings Out from 2024’s BGT, will headline the event at Royal & Derngate on Saturday February 14, alongside more than 200 local singers.
ChoirFest promises a “powerful fusion of classical crossover, contemporary club anthems and multi-genre choral performance”.
The full line-up also includes the Northampton Male Voice Choir and local school choirs from Hunsbury Park Primary School, Warwick Academy and St Luke’s CE Primary School.
Currently touring their ‘Phantoms of the Popera’ show across the UK in 2026, followed by their annual Christmas tour, G4 said: “We are delighted to be part of this year’s ChoirFest at the Derngate. We’ve performed with Northants Sings Out many times and love their infectious energy and spine-tingling sound. Bringing together over 200 voices on stage is going to be a night to remember.”
Councillor James Petter, Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Local Economy, Culture and Leisure at WNC, added: “ChoirFest is a brilliant celebration of creativity, talent and community spirit. Events like this bring people together, strengthen our cultural offer and reinforce West Northamptonshire as a fantastic destination for live performance.”
In the lead-up to the main event, audiences can enjoy a programme of free pop-up performances and taster sessions at prominent locations across the area, including Sixfields Stadium, giving residents the chance to experience the joy of group singing first-hand.
Tickets are now on sale via the Derngate website. The show will begin at 7.30pm.
