Wild and Woolly scramble returns this Boxing Day as Northampton club confirms 2025 venue
The Northampton-based organisers of the world’s oldest running motorcycle scramble – the Wild and Wolly – have delighted fans by announcing this year’s even is going ahead.
Held on Boxing Day, the event organised by Northampton Motorcyclists Club is one of the highlights of the festive break.
Sadly, in recent years the club has not been able to find a venue in Northamptonshire to host the event but thankfully a landowner in the Midlands has come forward.
And now the club is appealing for an event sponsor to make the event even better.

The Wild and Woolly will take place at Polesworth Mx Track at Stipers Hill, Tamworth B79 0JS.
Practice starts at 11am, with the race taking place at noon. Entry is £5 per car.
A spokesperson for the club said: “The race is a traditional scramble, held over 20 laps or 1 hour, where the riders are faced with freezing cold conditions as well as deep mud, and four stream crossings. Riders of all abilities enter the race, however the race entrants must be full members of NMCC.
“Thousands of race fans attend the Boxing Day spectacle. The race is run for local charities and donations are very much appreciated, and charity collectors are at the entry points and circulating through the crowd during the event.”
