What better way to welcome spring than to meet newborn lambs...
Spring is officially on its way, which means lambing season is upon us.
And what better way to welcome the lighter nights and (hopefully) warmer weather than to take your little ones - and yourselves, of course - to meet and feed newborn lambs.
There are plenty of family farm attractions across Northamptonshire and many of them are gearing up to welcome parents and children over the next couple of months as they also welcome new arrivals in the form of lambs.
Below are five Northamptonshire farms and venues where you can meet and feed lambs this spring.

5. Chester House Estate
The Wellingborough attraction is hoping to have 50 lambs this spring, which families will be able to feed from late March. Parents and children will be able to visit and feed the lambs and chat to the estate’s expert livestock team from Saturday, March 25, to Monday, May 1
A total of 20 people can bottle-feed the lambs per session, with more than a dozen volunteers trained to farm attraction industry standards who will help the livestock team care for the lambs which will be fed five times a day.
The Spring Passport at Chester House Estate is priced £15 and includes a lamb feeding session, giant Easter Egg Hunt and a time allocated chocolate workshop ticket. Accompanying adults do not need to buy a ticket.

The Stoke Bruerne farm re-opens for the 2023 season on Saturday (March 11).
Although members of the public cannot feed the lambs at Rookery Open Farm, they can see them and potentially watch them being born.
The farm’s website says: “During the lambing season you may be able to experience seeing some of the baby lambs being born.”
The farm will be open 10am - 5pm every day, except for Tuesdays.
Tickets are £8 per adult and £7.50 per child. Pay upon arrival. Visit rookeryopenfarm.com to find out more. Photo: Rookery Open Farm
