These are the new dates for the Northampton Town Festival

The organisers of the annual Northampton Town Festival have today (July 2) revealed the new dates it will take place.

Show Time Events Group has pushed the festival back to the first weekend of August from Friday, August 6 to Sunday, August 8.

The huge event - taking place at The Racecourse in Northampton - had to be postponed because of the month's delay in easing lockdown restrictions.

Purchased tickets have automatically been transferred to the new dates but anyone who is unable to make the new dates can request a refund.

Ticket-holders can expect to enjoy a variety of delicious street food and beverages both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, a funfair and a variety of trade stands to browse. There will also be motorbikes and trucks on Saturday and Sunday.
