Soul legends The Stylistics are heading to Northampton this autumn as part of a major UK tour.

The Philadelphia soul group will perform at the Derngate theatre on Wednesday, November 18, as part of a 22-date tour featuring original members Airrion Love and Herb Murrell.

The Stylistics became one of the defining vocal groups of the 1970s, achieving 10 consecutive Top Ten hits and building an international following with their distinctive harmonies and Philadelphia soul sound.

Northampton audiences can expect to hear some of the group's best-known songs, including the Grammy-nominated “You Make Me Feel Brand New”, “You Are Everything” and “Betcha by Golly, Wow”.

The set is also expected to feature “Can’t Give You Anything (But My Love)”, “I’m Stone In Love With You”, “Let’s Put It All Together”, “Sing Baby Sing” and “Rockin’ Roll Baby”.

Original members Airrion Love and Herb Murrell remain at the heart of the group and will be taking to the stage during the Northampton date.

The Stylistics said: “We love returning to the UK and can’t wait to perform all our hits, bringing back great memories and having a great evening with you all.”

The Stylistics will perform at Northampton's Derngate theatre on Wednesday, November 18.

Tickets are on sale now through the venue box office and Ticketline.
