Billing Aquadrome, owned by Meadow Bay Villages, will re-launch camping on the site from April 2026, after a break last summer.
Family camping has been described as a return to a “much-loved British tradition” that dates back to the site’s early days.
Nikki Rathie, holidays director at Billing Aquadrome, said: “The site first opened as a holiday park in 1945, shortly after World War II, offering caravan and camping accommodation.
“Over the decades it grew into one of the UK’s best-known camping and holiday parks, so it’s fitting that we’re reintroducing camping as part of our on-going commitment to offering exceptional holiday experiences.”
There will be a purpose-built camping zone with 150 electric pitches, each measuring eight metres by 10 metres. The area will include a modern amenities block and a dedicated play space for children.
The relaunch follows a £17 million regeneration programme completed over the past year, including a new indoor entertainment venue, with arcades, shuffleboard, interactive darts and more due to open on Friday March 27.
