Last Greenbelt at Boughton House unveils star‑studded line‑up as festival prepares to move site

Boughton House will host the final Greenbelt Festival at its Northamptonshire home from August 27-30, organisers have confirmed, with a star‑studded line‑up set to mark the end of an era before the event moves to a new site.

Headliners include hip‑hop pioneers Arrested Development, who will close the Boughton chapter, and twin rock duo The Proclaimers. Singer and activist Charlotte Church joins a varied programme of music, ideas and performance alongside folk‑rock favourite Grace Petrie, drag artist Flamy Grant, and comedian‑musician Reggie Watts.

The festival’s ideas and conversation strand features broadcaster Cathy Newman, prophetic economist Ann Pettifor and musician‑actor Jordan Stephens, while poet Pádraig Ó Tuama and spoken‑word performers such as Harry Baker and playwright‑rapper Testament bring literature and theatre to the fields. Other names on the bill include singing coach Carrie Grant, comedian Ria Lina, poet‑performer Testament and activist‑musician Charlotte Church.

Organisers say the 2026 programme aims to celebrate Greenbelt’s long history of combining music, faith, activism and the arts. Events will range from main‑stage concerts and intimate Shelter sessions to discussion panels, singing circles and silent protests such as Carrie Grant’s ‘Lament’ gathering.

Tickets are on sale at 2025 prices, with organisers stressing affordability and accessibility as priorities for the final Boughton weekend. Attendees are invited to join the festival’s “last hurrah” at the estate’s fields to celebrate community, creativity and conversation.

With the Boughton chapter closing, this year’s festival promises to be both a farewell and a celebration – a final chance to see Greenbelt in the landscape that has hosted it for decades, organisers said.
