Juggling, plate spinning and more as free circus takes over Northampton Market Square
A free circus show and the chance to try everything from juggling to plate spinning are coming to Northampton Market Square this weekend.
West Northamptonshire Council (WNC) has announced a day of free circus-themed entertainment in the recently revamped Market Square on Saturday, August 29.
The event will begin with a Street Circus Show from 11am to 11.30am, followed by a three-hour circus skills workshop between midday and 3pm.
Visitors will be able to have a go at a range of skills including juggling, hula hooping, plate spinning, diabolo and flower sticks.

There will also be opportunities to try balance tricks and other circus activities during the afternoon.
The workshop will have capacity for around 30 to 40 people at any one time and is open to people of all ages.
No tickets or advance booking are required, with visitors able to turn up and take part for free.
The event is being promoted by WNC alongside Love Northampton Market and Discover Northamptonshire as another activity aimed at bringing visitors into Northampton town centre.
It comes during a busy Bank Holiday weekend in Northampton, with the Wall Games street art festival also taking place from August 29 to 31.
More than 330 artists from across the UK and overseas are expected to take part in that event, creating large-scale murals and live artwork at locations around the town centre.
A free Wall Games Code Breaker Challenge will also take place on Bank Holiday Monday, August 31, encouraging families to explore the new artwork through a treasure hunt-style trail.
The circus entertainment will take place in Northampton Market Square on Saturday, August 29, with the first performance beginning at 11am.
