Beer enthusiasts gathered in Northampton over the weekend as the Northampton County Beer Festival returned with a celebration of the county’s thriving independent drinks industry.

Held in Becket’s Park on Friday May 29 and Saturday May 30, the festival brought together a wide range of Northamptonshire breweries and drinks producers.

Visitors enjoyed a varied selection of drinks, including traditional cask ales, craft beers, lagers, ciders, wines and spirits, alongside street food and live music performances from local bands.

The event showcased some of Northamptonshire’s best-known breweries, including Avalanche, Benjamin Franklin, Digfield, Great Oakley, King’s Cliffe, Nene Valley, Phipps NBC, Potbelly and Rockingham.

Throughout the two-day event, festival-goers sampled locally produced drinks while enjoying entertainment from musicians.

As well as highlighting Northamptonshire’s brewing heritage, organisers said the festival aimed to champion local businesses and encourage people to discover the growing range of independent drinks producers operating across the county.
