Huge CarFest family festival set to take over Silverstone this Bank Holiday weekend
One of the UK's biggest family festivals is set to take over Silverstone this Bank Holiday weekend, bringing together fast cars, live music, food and a host of famous faces.
CarFest 2026 will be held at Silverstone Circuit from Friday, August 28 to Sunday, August 30, with organisers promising entertainment and activities for visitors of all ages.
Created by broadcaster Chris Evans to raise money for UK children's charities, CarFest describes itself as the UK's biggest family fundraising festival and has raised millions of pounds for its charity partners over the past 13 years.
This year's event will combine several different festival experiences, including Cars at CarFest, FoodFest, KidsFest, RetroFest, SpaFest and StarFest, alongside a packed programme of music and other entertainment.
Visitors will be able to see some of the fastest cars, watch performances from artists, bands and DJs and take part in food demonstrations, while TV, theatre, music and sporting personalities are also due to appear.
Organisers said CarFest was designed to offer much more than a traditional music festival, with talks, activities, workshops, entertainment and surprises aimed at different generations and interests.
The festival's move to the famous Northamptonshire motor racing circuit puts the county at the heart of the three-day event.
Fundraising will once again be a major part of the weekend. CarFest's 2026 charity partners are BBC Children in Need, Young Epilepsy, Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust, Rainbow Trust, Starlight Children's Foundation and Teenage Cancer Trust.
Organisers said they were on a mission to continue raising money for the charities after millions of pounds had been generated through the festival since it was established.
CarFest 2026 runs at Silverstone Circuit, near Towcester, from August 28 to 30.
