Free Skills Bootcamps event offers Northampton residents route into new careers
A free event aimed at helping people gain new skills, retrain or move into employment is being held in Northampton next month.
West Northamptonshire Council is hosting a Skills Bootcamps Information Event at Northampton Guildhall on Thursday, September 10.
Two sessions will run from 11am to 12.30pm and 1pm to 2.30pm, showcasing fully funded training opportunities across West Northamptonshire.
Courses are available in sectors including construction, transport and logistics, life sciences, hospitality and tourism.
Skills Bootcamps are designed to provide industry-relevant skills and recognised qualifications, with learners who complete a course guaranteed an interview with an employer.
Visitors will hear presentations from training providers before being able to speak to them directly, ask questions and sign up for suitable courses.
Councillor Kamala Guliyeva, cabinet member for local economy, culture and leisure at WNC, said: “Skills Bootcamps provide a fantastic opportunity for residents to gain valuable qualifications and practical experience that can open the door to new careers and better job prospects.”
Places are free and must be booked in advance on Eventbrite.
