Europe's biggest touring wrestling show coming to Northampton for first time since start of coronavirus pandemic

The stars of Europe’s biggest touring wrestling show are coming back to Northampton with an all-action family spectacular later this month.
Megaslam Wrestling's American Wrestling Show at the Deco Theatre on Sunday, May 30, will mark the firm's first event since the first coronavirus lockdown in March last year.
The two-hour spectacle includes matches created for the whole family from 'heavyweight challenge' to 'tag team thriller' and even a match for the Megaslam Championship.
A Megaslam spokesman said: "Megaslam has been touring the United Kingdom since 2009. Each year we set out on the road in January and present a full schedule throughout the year.
"The pandemic has been difficult for everyone and the entertainment industry has been hit hard, we are chomping at the bit to get back out there and I think fans are also excited at the prospect of seeing some live entertainment’
"The show will feature a mix of heavyweight wrestling stars, exciting high-flyers and some incredible matches."
Established in 2009, Megaslam Wrestling presents more than 300 live events per year around the UK
Northampton's extravaganza will involve two teams battling it out during the afternoon with fans being urged to cheer on their favourites, with a chance to meet them afterwards.
"We have Team Megaslam who the fans love to cheer and we have Team Nasty who the fans love to boo," the spokesman said.
"It’s a great day out for families and a real glitz and glamour American style production
"We also some of the World’s leading wrestling stars paying a visit as well as some up-and-coming, never-seen-before athletes.
"There’s all this and so much more - it’s a true experience for the whole family."
Megaslam is urging fans to book in advance due to seats being sold at a percentage of original capacity to adhere to social distancing.
